Meditation Workshop Demo
Client: Personal Portfolio Project
Service: Instructional Designer + Visual Designer
This project aimed to create a restorative eLearning experience that supports mindfulness and well-being. Built in Articulate Storyline 360, the module features a 3-minute guided meditation, 6 custom-designed slides, soft audio, and gentle animations. Grounded in Cognitive Load and Constructivist theories, it offers a calm, reflective space—proving that eLearning can be both effective and emotionally supportive.

This project was inspired by a desire to use eLearning as a space for pause and self-care. I wanted to explore how digital learning could support mental well-being, not just skill-building. Drawing from mindfulness practices and calming visual art, I envisioned a guided meditation experience that felt more like a retreat than a lesson. Early sketches and storyboards focused on minimalism, soft motion, and sensory balance—guiding the tone and pacing from concept to final design.

The project began with a needs analysis identifying a growing demand for mental wellness support in digital learning spaces. The goal was to design a brief, restorative experience that could fit easily into a learner’s day, particularly for busy professionals or students experiencing screen fatigue.
Grounded in Cognitive Load Theory, the module was intentionally simple and low-stimulation, using focused narration, gentle pacing, and minimalist visuals to reduce extraneous load. I applied principles from Constructivist learning theory by creating space for reflection, allowing learners to connect the meditation experience to their own emotional state.
During planning, I storyboarded each screen to align narration, visuals, and interactivity. I used Articulate Storyline 360 for development, layering custom-designed graphics with audio and motion. Every element—from color palette to timing—was purposefully chosen to foster calm, support learner autonomy, and make mindfulness accessible through eLearning.
Project Summary
This project explores how eLearning can be used to support mindfulness and mental well‑being. Using Articulate Storyline 360, I designed an interactive module that leads learners through a short guided meditation, incorporating soft background audio, gentle animations, and moments for reflection. The flow was intentionally slow and uncluttered, giving learners time to breathe and reset while engaging with the content.
I created a serene, cohesive aesthetic by designing custom visuals in Photoshop, using muted colors and organic shapes to create a sense of calm. The storyboard mapped out how the narration, visuals, and interactions would align to create a smooth, meditative experience. This demo showcases how thoughtful design and pacing can transform an eLearning module into a tool for mindfulness and self‑care, proving that digital learning can be both engaging and restorative.
